The company

Cantini starts its activity in 1944 as a small craftsman workshop located in the heart of Florence, in one of the most characteristic districts of town, San Niccolò, in the historical Stiozzi-Ridolfi palace. After having soon become a landmark for the town's fashion, mainly due to the wisdom and enterprising skills of its founder Vezio Cantini for many years president of the local craftsmen association, Cantini started to expand to the domestic market first and exporting to key markets like Japan and the States the taste and elegance of made in Florence fashion.

The making of a tie

To manufacture a tie requires a meticulous and scientific work: one needs to calculate the correct proportion between length and width, prepare the cutting, an angle of 45°, select the single thread, measure the tension and give stretch, to finish off with and loops.
